Am I eligible to participate in the tournament?

Participants must be at least 13 years old and reside in an eligible region. To find out if your region qualifies and to participate in your regional tournament, visit our website for all relevant links.

Which regions are eligible for sign-up?

Players from APAC (Hong-Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore), India, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand are eligible to sign up. Please ensure you register for the tournament specific to your region.

What if I submitted the wrong Pokémon lineup?

Please review your lineup carefully before submitting. However, if an error occurs, you can edit your submission on the Start.gg Tournament homepage by selecting ‘Dashboard’ > ‘Your Registration’ > ‘Update Registration’.

Note: Changes are only permissible during the Registration period.

Why was my sign-up rejected?

Rejections may occur due to incorrect information provided during registration, particularly regarding your Pokémon lineup. Check your email for detailed information regarding the rejection and how you can amend them.

Each match will be a Best-of-Three (Bo3). “Bo3” refers to a competitive format where the winner is determined by who wins the majority of three games, meaning the first to win two out of three is declared the victor.

What should I know before playing in the qualifier?

It’s crucial to be present and attentive to announcements on our support Discord server during the tournament. Familiarize yourself with the rules in advance and maintain respect towards other participants and administrators.

What is the maximum Pokémon Combat Power allowed in the tournament?

This tournament follows the Great League rules, which means each Pokémon can have a maximum Combat Power (CP) of 1500. You are required to register with 6 Pokémon, each with 1500 CP or less.”

How do I start a battle?

a) To begin a battle, ensure you’ve allowed battle challenges with friends by going to ‘Settings’, selecting ‘General’, and enabling “Allow Battle Challenges with Friends”.

b) The player appearing at the top of the bracket page for each match is responsible for initiating the Battle and must send a friend request to their opponent by referring to the Trainer Name and Code from the public database which will be provided to all players ahead of the tournament.

c) Communication with your opponent should primarily occur through the start.gg match chat box, but you may also find their Discord ID provided in the database if necessary.

How can I request help during the tournament?

If you encounter issues during a match, use the ‘Request a Moderator’ link at the bottom of the chat box. A moderator will join the chat to assist when available.
